This historic church in Marthandam boasts a rich heritage, with its foundation stone laid by Rev. C.G.Marshall, on July 26, 1924.
Sinclair, a Scottish missionary, who served as District Missionary and Pastor from 1919 to 1939, contributed significantly to the construction of the church and dedicated it to God's glory on May 13 1933.
The first Bishop was Most Rt. Rev. A.H.Legg who served from 1962 - 1966.
The platinum jubilee of the church was celebrated in 2008. In commemoration, a monument was erected by the most Rt. Rev. Dr. I. Jesudason, Former Moderator, CSI in the presence of Rev. K.M. Devaraj, Vice President CSI Kanyakumari Diocese and Rev A. William Thomas, District Minister CSI Marthandam.
