It is 3 kms from Vellangallur junction on Thrissur Kodungallur state highway(SH22).
Irinjalakuda is the nearest town.

Kalparambu, also known as Pookkotta has a great significance in Kerala Christian history.
The Padroado Bishops under the patronage of Portugal Queen resided here for several times during the Dutch reign in Cochin.
The church was established in 1733 A D.
The parish was part of Thrissur Diocese and later became the part of Irinjalakuda Diocese.
Parish was declared a forane on 10-9-2002 by Mar James Pazhayattil.
The foundation stone for the present beautiful structure was laid on 2-10-2002 and completed, blessed on 1-10-2006 by Mar James Pazhayattil, Bishop of Irinjalakuda.
