St. George Church Mukkattukara was established in year 1784. It is a Roman Catholic church under Syro Malabar Church.
The Forane church of this churchc is Our Lady of Lourdes Cathedral Church Thrissur.
The foundation stone for the church was laid on January 6th 1784. It was blessed by Mar George Alappat on october 17th 1964.
Foundation stone for a new church was laid on december 31st 1993, and the work started on March 4,1994. Dedication of the church was on September 8,1995 by Arch Bishop Mar Joseph Kundukulam.
